Ella's Sixth Month

Ella is 7 months old! Here are the pix from the last month. She continues to be such a joy! She wakes up singing every morning and chatters all day long. She love sitting up and playing with her toys. She’s scooting herself around and when on all fours she is trying to figure out how to crawl. We think we’re ready for that but I’m sure we have no idea what we’re in for! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Ella's Fifth Month

Ella is 6 months old today and is doing great! A lot has happened in the past month including eating solid foods and sitting up on her own. She’s really growing up and it’s still so amazing and fun to watch her learn and grow right in front of our eyes. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Ella's Fourth Month

Ella turned 5 months old today and we just can’t believe it! As much as we’ve loved each stage and want her to stay tiny forever, watching her grow and change is more and more fun each day. She’s still full of conversation, bubbles, smiles and giggles. She’s now grabbing and yes sucking on her toes! She is rolling in both directions and looks like she’ll be sitting up soon. Hope you enjoy the pix of our little one. Here's the link.

Ella's Third Month

Hi everyone,
As promised (although a week late) here is an update and photos (click on the link at the end of this message) for you to see what Ella's been up to during the past month. She turned 4 months old on April 2 and we can't believe how fast she's growing up even though everyone warned us that it would fly by. It seems like she changes and learns new things almost every day. She now loves to suck her thumb and it's the cutest thing ever watching her with those big bright eyes. She is reaching for, grabbing, and examining everything in sight including her little feet. She also learned to roll over just before she turned 3.5 months old and moves all over the place at night in her crib. She is such a little cutie and is full of personality. She is very interested in everything and everyone around her and is always wide eyed checking out her surroundings. She coos up a storm, squeals, blow bubbles and raspberries, and even laughs wanting to be part of every conversation. We hope to see you soon and welcome any and all visitors anytime!
Love to everyone,
Melissa, Robert and Ella
make sure to look at our newest photos below...let me know if you have trouble seeing them or if you want to be off the update list. Enjoy!

Ella's first 3 months

I know it’s been awhile but here are more pictures of Ella from her first few days home until now. She's about a week away from being 3 months old and is as cute as ever. It was difficult to thin out the photos (yes I actually did take a lot out!) since she is adorable in each one. Life with Ella is so wonderful. She brightens each day. Although she was little when she was born she’s eating like a champ and growing beautifully. She is close to 11 pounds now and 22.5 inches long. She is smiling and cooing all the time which is so sweet it makes me want to cry. She's got a lot to say and can't wait to talk! She is also swatting at and grabbing and holding onto things. She is also really good at entertaining herself by flirting with herself in the mirror and having heart to heart conversations with her toy monkey. She is a precious gift and we love her so much. We’ll try to update the blog monthly with new photos and Ella’s latest accomplishments. We hope you enjoy the pictures! Love to you all.

Ella Catherine Mogannam

Our perfect little girl Ella Catherine arrived Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 9:30 p.m. weighing in at 5 pounds 14 ounces and measuring 18.5 inches long. I was able to have her naturally after more than 24 hours of labor. Robert was so great the entire time and never left my side. This was truly the most amazing experience of our lives and it still feels somewhat surreal. I do not even know how to put it into words. Ella is the most precious gift we could ever have hoped for. We love her more than words can express and most of our days and nights are spent just staring at her and marveling at her every move. She is such a sweet little girl and we are enjoying every minute with her. Ella had her first pediatrician appointment today and she is already growing and doing very well. We hope you will all be able to meet her soon. Thanks to everyone for all of your visits, cards, emails and calls. We're sorry we haven't been able to get back to each of you individually yet but we at least wanted to send out the pictures and an update.

Love,

Melissa, Robert and Ella :)

2 weeks to go :)

The pictures just don't say enough about how we are feeling and how amazing this whole process has been. Melissa is really progressing well and the doctor is indicating that we may have an early bird on our hands. The due date is December 7th, but it could really be any day now. Melissa is already showing signs of early labor. The hospital bag is packed, our cell phones are charged and ringers are on high...we are just waiting for the call from our little girl!

The baby room (see picture below) is more complete now than it has ever been. We are really happy with it and are only now working to complete the window treatments. I enjoy sitting in the rocking chair and taking in the peace and quiet...for now.

We are truly blessed to have so much support from all of our family and friends, and we look forward to sharing our little package with all of you soon.

Love Melissa, Robert and....
